If you arrive by airplane, after getting your luggage, either ask someone or follow the signs to the platforms for the SEPTA regional rail system. Take any local train going toward Center City Philadelphia to Market East Station. When leaving Market East Station take the 13th St exit and walk south (in the opposite direction of traffic) 3 blocks (you will pass Ludlow and Clover Sts) crossing Chestnut St. then turn left and walk down Chestnut St. 5 blocks (you will pass Juniper, Broad, 15th and 16th Sts). The hotel is on your left at the corner of 17th and Chestnut.

From 30th Street Amtrak Station:

Transfer (no charge) to the Broad Street Line. Take a LOCAL Broad Street subway train which stops at Cecil B. Moore Station (Broad and Cecil B. Moore Avenue). (EXPRESS trains DO NOT stop at Temple!) Walk along Broad St (North) and make a right onto Montgomery Ave. Registration is in the Howard Gittis Student Center across the street, do not enter through the first few sets of double doors, walk past the picnic tables to your right and up the stairs to enter the building, then take the elevator or stairs up to the 2nd floor. Getting your bearings: Broad Street is the longest straight street in the WORLD!! It runs north to south throughout the entire city of Philadelphia and is located between 13th and 15th Streets. It starts in the East Oak Lane section of the city, goes through all of North Philly, around City Hall and finally continues all the way down to South Philly. Many numbered streets are one-way so if you get turned around, find Broad St.
From the Pennsylvania Turnpike:
Take PA Turnpike to Exit 24 (Philadelphia/Valley Forge). Follow I-76 East for 18 miles to Exit 38 (Central Philadelphia/East 676). Note: this is a LEFT lane exit. Proceed one-half mile to the Broad Street Exit. Turn left on Broad Street - 611 North - and follow North Broad past Montgomery Avenue until Berks Mall, which is 1 1/2 blocks past the Liacouras Center. If you are going to the Conwell Inn, continue past Berks Mall 1/2 block to Beasley’s Walk on the right (if you have gone to Norris Street you have gone too far). Turn right into Beasley’s Walk driveway and follow around to the end where you will see campus police. The Conwell Inn is on the left. If you are going to conference parking, continue north to Diamond Street and turn right; in the middle of the second block turn right into Lot 10. From Lot 10 walk south on 12th Street to Berks Mall and you’re in front of Gladfelter and Anderson Halls. Cross the street and make a right, continue past

Limited street parking: Because Temple University is in the heart of North Philadelphia, there is very little street parking. You may have to park several streets away. It is highly suggested that you carpool or use public transportation if you can.
